Homegrown cultivates ALL Rochester area beer makers with live music Saturday, January 14th at Lovin Cup.

Description: http://threeheadsbrewing.com/images/banners/homegrown1.jpgThe Beer Gods have poured favor upon Rochester of late.  Beer is THE booming business, with no less than four new brewers over the course of a couple years:  Three Heads Brewing, Naked Dove Brewing, Roc Brewing, and Rogers Beer.  Of course, this path was forged by your local craft brew mavericks, Custom Brewcrafters and Rohrbachs.  Then you have Big Poppa: Genesee Brewing, reminding everyone of the rich heritage (pack) that flows through this region.

There’s an abundance of thanks to be given at the end of a bountiful 2011, with the majority of appreciation flowing from these brewers, your neighbors. And while they all compete year-round for your palette and loyalty, there is one unifying philosophy that binds this beer brotherhood together:

Beer has been, and will always be,  homegrown to Rochester.

So let it grow.

With this in mind, these fine breweries are very proud to present Homegrown, a one day über celebration of Rochester beer lovers featuring ALL Rochester area breweries, Saturday January 14th, from 12pm to 2am at Lovin' Cup, 300 Park Pointe Drive, Rochester (aka that cool place over by the Barnes and Noble at R.I.T).

Every, yes EVERY Rochester area beer will be represented at HomeGrown: Custom Brewcrafters, Genesee Brewing, Naked Dove, Roc Brewing, Rogers Beer, Rohrbachs, and Three Heads Brewing. Not only will all local breweries be represented, each will offer special tastings throughout the day.  Hobnob with brewers and enjoy some great offerings amongst your friends at Lovin' Cup.

Not only that, Three Heads Brewing will feature their latest juggernaut, The Loopy, an Oatmeal Red Anniversary Beer, along with a free 3HB pint glass for everyone who attends the event (while supplies last, of course).

All this while you are mercilessly tossed about by the very best music in Rochester, all day long, thank you.  Homegrown will feature sets by:

 Fall for Bromigo:  The sweet new seasonal from Three Heads Brewing

 Smokey.  Sweet.  Ale. 

It's like Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Columbus Day...all in a beer.

 Hint:  we're making seasonal beers to follow and match the seasons.  Shocker, right (no hand gestures, please)?  And nothing says cooler weather, leaves rustling off the trees, and the Cubbies not winning a world title like Bromigo, your best-friend-of-a smoked maple amber ale variety.

 

Bromigo is the perfect compliment to brisk autumn days here in New York.  You get the warmth of smoke (like a cool night bonfire), the sweet hint of maple (like watching the leaves fall around a bonfire), with the pure drinkability of an ale (which doesn't really have anything to do with bonfires but you can see where we're going with this). It's even made with real maple syrup and can be enjoyed fully with a large pile of flapjacks.

 

Just like the Ontario Coast provided some Belgian-inspired zest into your Summer, so will Bromigo add warmth and a familiar sweetness to your Fall.  Bromigo is meant to be shared in generous quantities, side-by-side,  arm-in-arm with family, friends, craft beer lovers, and even your favorite fictional lumberjack and/or large cyan oxen of lore.

 

So try a Bromigo.  If it's not already available on-tap at your favorite local pub or restaurant that carries 3HB, it may be soon.  If you don't see it, ask for it.  And the 22oz. bottles should be hitting stores very soon.  Also, you can check out our links above and soon you'll be able to send Bromigo to those you dig... like loving on your grandmother with some Bromigo or maybe even on yourself (no hand gestures, please).

Really, it was only a matter of time.  No mere state boundaries, no petty territorial mappings were going to keep Three Heads Brewing from invading the far reaches of this fine nation.   

Three Heads Brewing is very proud to announce that we have partnered with Half Time Beverage in Poughkeepsie, NY to provide national internet sales of our beer through Half Time’s website, HalfTimeBeverage.com.  The Half Time Beverage website will allow 3HB fans to purchase 22oz. bottles of 3HB beers to be shipped anywhere across the country.

Send a Skunk to your sweetheart in Sacramento. Or The Kind to your kin in Kentucky.  Or Blimey to your baby in Biloxi.  Whatever cheesy convention you can think of, Three Heads Brewing and Half Time Beverage can make it happen (sans cheese). Better yet, send yourself some!
